Supplication/Surrender
Make your requests known to God, no matter how big or how small they may seem. Then surrender them to Him.
A. Intercede
1 Thessalonians 1:2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.
1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you.
B. Ask
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
John 14:13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
C. Surrender
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and HE will make straight your paths.
James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
1. Open my eyes LORD so I can see your will.
2. I give my prayer to you and to your will.
